What I’m Reading — May 26

  1. Win or lose this summer, Cuccinelli says his health-care suit headed to D.C. — I will obviously be following this case very closely, as I grew up in Virginia and also followed the passage of the health care law pretty closely. Cuccinelli thinks his suit challenging the constitutionality of the law has a “better than even chance” of winning on the merits. We shall see.
  2. We Need a Terror Court — Former Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge makes the case for a new court system to try terror suspects. Worth reading in full, if just to get a taste of the various details (no preventive detention, rules of evidence would still apply, etc.)
  3. Are you my mentor? — Greatrgood takes on the issue of mentoring in public interest law.
